Katherine Moynihan

Dr. Katherine Moynihan is a Board Certified Orthodontist specializing in traditional braces, ceramic esthetic braces, and Invisalign Clear Aligners. She graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she served as president of the Student Professionalism & Ethics Association in Dentistry. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and received the Dr. Joseph P. Speranza Memorial Award in recognition of her dedication to excellent patient care and helpfulness and concern for fellow students. She continued her post-doctoral education at BU, serving as president of her residency class. She graduated with a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry for her thesis on maxillofacial anatomy in pediatric sleep apnea patients.

Dr. Katherine Moynihan was the 2024 recipient of the Anthony A. Gianelly Award from the Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists, for demonstrating dedication to academia or clinical practice and contributing to the good and welfare of the orthodontic profession in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She presides on the board and is heavily involved in a non-profit organization, Project Stretch, which conducts outreach preventative and restorative dental care to underprivileged children in Sinaloa Mexico. She is certified by the American Board of Orthodontists, member of the American Association of Orthodontics and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Katherine Moynihan has been practicing in Fall River since 2021, and splits her time between working in Marion and at her family practice on Nantucket. In her free time, she enjoys painting, cooking, fitness, and skiing.
